“Joseph, Justin and Robert were very professional and honest. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Outstanding job — left the house clean and fresh.”
A heat pump cools in summer, heats in winter — by moving heat rather than generating it. In South Texas's mild winters, they're highly efficient because they rarely need to switch into emergency heat mode.

A heat pump replaces your AC and your furnace with one system, and runs on electricity through your panel. So the breaker, the disconnect, and your panel capacity matter. We're a licensed HVAC tech and a licensed electrician, so we size both and it passes inspection the first time.
Call (830) 587-5790In our climate a heat pump is hard to beat. Here's the short version.
HVAC + electrical, one crew
All-electric is the simplest, cheapest to run most of the year, and the one most New Braunfels homes want. Dual-fuel pairs the heat pump with a gas furnace that only kicks in on the coldest mornings, best if you already heat with gas.
Either way it's an electrical job as much as an HVAC one, the right breaker, a clean disconnect, and enough panel capacity. We hold both licenses, so it's one crew and one inspection that passes. No second contractor, no finger-pointing.
Installed, all-in — equipment, labor, permit, and haul-away. Most shops won't post a number. Here's ours.

Ranges run smallest to largest tonnage, SEER2 14.5–20+, on Goodman systems (other brands quoted on request). Your exact all-in price comes from a free in-home load calculation, in writing before we start. Financing available, and qualifying systems earn the federal tax credit below.

A qualifying high-efficiency heat pump is eligible for the federal 25C tax credit — 30% of the cost, up to $2,000 a year. It's claimed on your taxes, not an instant rebate, and we'll point you to the current SEER2/HSPF2 requirements so your system qualifies. Financing covers the rest.
Book a Free EstimateHot, humid summers and short, mild winters are exactly where a heat pump shines — it cools hard from May to October and heats cheaply the rest of the year. From the older homes off River Road and Gruene to the new builds in Veramendi and Vintage Oaks, we size for the Comal-and-Guadalupe humidity, not a national average. Quick anywhere from Landa Park to Lake Dunlap.

“Moorhead came out same day when our AC quit in July. Fair price, zero upselling — the tech was super professional. These guys are the real deal.”
“Used Moorhead for a full electrical panel upgrade. Upfront about pricing, did the work cleanly, passed inspection first try. Will absolutely use them again.”
