“We needed the dock and boathouse rewired after we bought our place on Lake McQueeney — the old setup was scary. Moorhead did it right, GFCI and all, pulled the permit, and they were here fast since they are just up the road in Seguin.”
Lake McQueeney calls itself the Water Ski Capital of Texas, and a lakefront home comes with wiring a tract house never deals with — dock outlets, lift motors, and a boathouse that lives in the damp. We are four miles up the road in Seguin.
Thanks for reaching out. We've got your request and we'll be in touch shortly, usually the same day. Need us right now? Call (830) 587-5790 — we're open 24/7.
A lakefront home is two electrical jobs in one — the house, and everything out at the water. Being licensed for HVAC and electrical, and based four miles away in Seguin, means one company handles the AC, the panel, and the dock without you chasing three contractors.
AC running but the house won't cool? Usually a capacitor or a refrigerant leak. We carry the common failures on the truck. Service call starts at $79.
See AC RepairReplacing a system 10+ years old? We run a real load calculation, quote in writing, and size the unit to your McQueeney home — not the warehouse.
See AC InstallationFurnace won't light on the first cold front? We carry ignitors and flame sensors and check the heat exchanger for CO on every visit.
See Heating200-amp upgrades and Federal Pacific / Zinsco removal — the panels insurers won't cover. Prices published, permits pulled, A/C load sized in.
See Panel UpgradesPanel upgrades, EV chargers, surge protection, generators. One licensed company for the work most McQueeney HVAC outfits have to sub out.
See ElectricalAuthorized Generac dealer. We size the standby unit to actually carry your A/C — the part most installers get wrong. Prices published.
See GeneratorsThe garage that's an oven, the addition the system never reaches, the older McQueeney home with no ducts. Zoned comfort, one-day install.
See Mini SplitsDuct cleaning, UV lights, whole-house purifiers, dehumidifiers. McQueeney humidity is real — your indoor air doesn't have to suffer for it.

Justin and Levi Moorhead have run this company out of Seguin since 2009, and McQueeney is about as close to our shop as a service call gets — four miles west. We know the chain of lakes on the Guadalupe, the waterfront homes that need dock and boathouse wiring done right, and the older lake places that have been added onto for fifty years. Close enough that we are out here all the time.
GFCI-protected, to code
Boat lifts, dock lights, outlets at the water, a boathouse that stays damp — waterfront electrical lives a harder life than anything inside the house, and it has to be GFCI-protected and grounded right, because water and electricity do not forgive shortcuts.
We wire docks and boathouses to code, fix the corroded mess the last owner left, and pull the permit. On the lake, this is not the place to save a few dollars.
Call (830) 587-5790McQueeney is a lake town on the dammed Guadalupe, a short hop from our Seguin shop. The homes range from modest weekend places to big waterfront builds, and the water changes what they need.
Waterfront homes carry electrical the rest of us never think about — boat lift motors, dock receptacles, lighting over the water, a boathouse in constant humidity. All of it needs GFCI protection, proper grounding, and corrosion-resistant materials. We install it right and fix the weathered, hazardous setups that come with an older lake house.
The lake floods, and construction along the shoreline has to sit above the base flood elevation. That affects where the condenser, the air handler, and the panel can go. We place and mount equipment so a high-water event does not take out your whole system, instead of bolting it wherever was easy.
A lot of McQueeney homes started as a weekend cabin and got added onto for decades, which means mismatched wiring, a panel that was never resized, and a window unit hanging on where central air should be. We modernize the electrical and right-size the cooling for what the house actually is now.
Living on the lake means living in the humidity, and that pushes mold and mugginess into homes that are not set up for it. Whole-house dehumidifiers, duct sealing, and UV lights in the air handler keep a waterfront home comfortable without running the AC into the ground.

From the waterfront on the chain of lakes to the homes just off FM 725, McQueeney is practically our backyard. A few of the areas we cover:

“AC quit on a July Saturday with a house full of family. They were here within the hour and had it cold again before the brisket came off the smoker. Cannot beat having them four miles away.”
“Old lake house with wiring from every decade since the sixties. They sorted the whole thing out, resized the panel, and explained it in plain terms. Honest and reasonably priced.”
