What We Do in Fischer

Every Service.
One Truck.

Out in Fischer, remoteness is the whole point — and the whole problem when something breaks. A company licensed for both HVAC and electrical means one trip up the ridge instead of two, and a generator means the next outage is not an ordeal.

We Know
the Backbone

Justin and Levi Moorhead have run this company out of Seguin since 2009, and Fischer is the far, scenic edge of our Comal County service area — up along the Devil's Backbone toward Wimberley. We know what ridgetop and ranch living asks for out here: well water, propane, long power runs, and the kind of remoteness that makes a standby generator less a luxury than a plan.

Flat-rate quoted before we touch anything
You approve the price in writing first. If the job gets harder, that's our problem — not yours.
We tell you when repair is the right call
If the system's repairable, we say so. We won't push a $9,000 replacement on a unit that needs a $275 contactor.
Licensed for HVAC and electrical
When a job crosses trades, we handle it. No second company, no second visit.

Ridgetop & Remote

Beautiful, Until the Power Goes Out

Fischer's homes sit on ridges and ranch land along the Devil's Backbone, on well and propane, at the end of long power runs that the weather loves to knock down.

We come prepared for it — generators sized for the well and AC, long-run electrical fixes, and propane heat service — so the most remote home gets the same straight, flat-rate work as one in town.

What We See in Fischer Homes

Fischer is a small, remote Hill Country community along the scenic Devil's Backbone, so every call is shaped by distance, elevation, and rural systems.

Generators Are a Plan, Not a Luxury

When a storm drops a line out here, the power can be gone a long while, and a well pump with no power means no water on top of no AC. We are a Generac dealer and size standby units to carry the AC and the pump, because out on the Backbone, being without both is more than an inconvenience.

Long Runs and Ridgetop Wiring

Power travels a long way to a Fischer home, and voltage drop plus exposure to weather is hard on wiring and panels. We test the full run, upgrade tired panels, and add surge protection — important anywhere on the ERCOT grid, more so on an exposed ridge.

Propane Heat and Well Water

No gas lines out here means propane furnaces or heat pumps, and well water that scales up coils and equipment. We service both, do the heat exchanger and CO checks every visit, and flag what the hard water is doing to your system.

Right-Sizing for Views and Glass

Hill Country homes are built for the view, and all that glass on an exposed ridge is a serious cooling load. We right-size the system and correct airflow so a beautiful room is also a comfortable one.

Fischer Questions

Yes. Fischer is the far, scenic edge of our Comal County range, up along the Devil's Backbone, and we make the drive. We come prepared for remote, ridgetop living — well, propane, long power runs — and we are straight with you about the scheduling window.
More than almost anywhere. Outages on the Backbone last longer, and when the power goes so does your well pump and your water. We are a Generac dealer and size the unit to carry the AC and the pump both. Out here that is a plan, not a luxury.
Yes. Most Fischer homes run propane heat or a heat pump and draw from a well, and we handle both — heat exchanger and CO checks every visit, and coil and equipment care for the hard well water that scales things up out here.
Likely voltage drop on a long, exposed service run plus an aging panel — common on ridgetop acreage. We test the full run, upgrade the panel, and add surge protection to guard against the grid's transients, which an exposed ridge sees plenty of.
We are upfront about the scheduling window, but the pricing is the same honest flat rate as in town — you pay the service call, in writing, waived when you book the repair. We would rather earn the remote work than pad it.

What Fischer Customers Say

5.0★  ·  457 Google reviews

“Up on the Backbone the power goes out for hours. Moorhead put in a Generac sized for the well and AC, and the last outage we barely noticed. They actually drove all the way out, too.”

Wendell H.
Fischer, TX

“Old panel, long service run, lights flickering. They found the voltage drop, upgraded the panel, added surge protection. Knew the rural stuff cold and were fair about it.”

Janet R.
Fischer, TX

“Propane furnace quit in a cold snap and we are about as far out as it gets. They came, fixed it, did the CO check, flat price. Grateful somebody reliable covers Fischer.”
