“Our place in Mystic Shores sat closed all spring and the AC was dead when we opened it up for summer. Moorhead came out, had it running in an hour, and set us up with a season-start check so it does not happen again.”
A lake house that sits empty half the year and then gets asked to cool a full crowd on the Fourth of July is a system under stress. We work the whole Canyon Lake area out of nearby Seguin — give us a call.
Thanks for reaching out. We've got your request and we'll be in touch shortly, usually the same day. Need us right now? Call (830) 587-5790 — we're open 24/7.
Out at the lake, the nearest help can be a long way off — unless it is us, and we are licensed for both HVAC and electrical. One truck handles the AC, the panel, and the generator, which matters a lot more on a Hill Country lot than in a subdivision.
AC running but the house won't cool? Usually a capacitor or a refrigerant leak. We carry the common failures on the truck. Service call starts at $79.
See AC RepairReplacing a system 10+ years old? We run a real load calculation, quote in writing, and size the unit to your Canyon Lake home — not the warehouse.
See AC InstallationFurnace won't light on the first cold front? We carry ignitors and flame sensors and check the heat exchanger for CO on every visit.
See Heating200-amp upgrades and Federal Pacific / Zinsco removal — the panels insurers won't cover. Prices published, permits pulled, A/C load sized in.
See Panel UpgradesPanel upgrades, EV chargers, surge protection, generators. One licensed company for the work most Canyon Lake HVAC outfits have to sub out.
See ElectricalAuthorized Generac dealer. We size the standby unit to actually carry your A/C — the part most installers get wrong. Prices published.
See GeneratorsThe garage that's an oven, the addition the system never reaches, the older Canyon Lake home with no ducts. Zoned comfort, one-day install.
See Mini SplitsDuct cleaning, UV lights, whole-house purifiers, dehumidifiers. Canyon Lake humidity is real — your indoor air doesn't have to suffer for it.

Justin and Levi Moorhead have run this company out of Seguin since 2009, and Canyon Lake is squarely in our service area. We know the older cabins in Startzville and Sattler, the custom homes in Mystic Shores, and the realities of lake living — well water, septic, long driveways, and power that goes out when the weather turns. We come prepared for all of it.
We come prepared for the lot
Second homes and weekend places sit idle for weeks, then get asked to run flat-out when the family shows up. That on-off cycle is hard on a system — seized contactors, dead capacitors, and bearings that gummed up sitting still.
We do start-of-season checkups so your lake house is cold before you arrive, not the afternoon after. Flat-rate, quoted before we start.
Call (830) 587-5790Canyon Lake is not a subdivision — it is a spread-out collection of cabins, custom homes, and weekend places on Hill Country lots, most on well water and many a fair drive from the nearest big-box hardware store. That changes what breaks and what it takes to fix it.
A lot of the original Canyon Lake homes went up after the lake filled in the mid-1960s, and plenty still have their first-generation everything — undersized panels, marginal wiring, and AC that was an afterthought. We modernize the electrical and right-size the cooling without pretending a 1970s cabin needs a mansion's system.
Most lake-area homes are on private wells, and the hard water out here scales up coils, drain lines, and any equipment it touches. That scale makes a system work harder and fail sooner. We clean and treat it as part of service and flag what the mineral load is quietly doing to your AC.
Rural Hill Country lines go down in storms, and out here that can mean a long sit in the dark and a freezer full of brisket at risk. We are an authorized Generac dealer and size standby generators to carry a lake home's real load — AC, well pump, and all. The well pump is the part people forget until the power is out and so is the water.
Older cabins, bonus rooms over the garage, and screened porches somebody finally enclosed rarely have ductwork that reaches. A ductless mini-split gives those spaces real, zoned cooling without tearing into a house that was never built for central air.

From the older lakeside communities to the gated custom-home neighborhoods, we cover the spread-out Canyon Lake area off FM 2673 and FM 306. A few of the spots we serve:
Each one has its own Canyon Lake page with local detail — pick what you need.
“Our place in Mystic Shores sat closed all spring and the AC was dead when we opened it up for summer. Moorhead came out, had it running in an hour, and set us up with a season-start check so it does not happen again.”
“We finally put in a Generac after one too many outages knocked out the well pump. They sized it to run the whole house and explained why the pump mattered. Worth every penny the next time a storm rolled through.”
“Old cabin in Startzville with no ducts in the back rooms. They installed a mini-split and it is finally comfortable back there. Fair price, clean work, drove out from Seguin without a fuss.”
