Kill Mold at the Source

The evaporator coil in your air handler is dark, damp, and cold — an ideal environment for mold and bacteria to grow. In a New Braunfels summer, that coil is wet with condensation for hours every day. Without treatment, whatever grows on it gets blown through the house every time the system runs. That's where the musty "dirty sock" smell from the vents comes from. A UV-C light installed at the coil irradiates that surface continuously, killing growth before it can spread.

Why It Works in South Texas Specifically

The longer and harder your coil runs wet, the more it grows. New Braunfels’ humidity and long cooling season make our coils some of the hardest-working — and dampest — in the country. A UV light running continuously at the coil is one of the few IAQ products that genuinely earns its keep here. It also keeps the coil cleaner, which protects airflow and efficiency.
