“Joseph, Justin and Robert were very professional and honest. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Outstanding job — left the house clean and fresh.”
A 100-amp panel was plenty for a 1970s house. Your 1970s house in 2025 running central AC, a refrigerator, a washer, dryer, and EV charger is not a 1970s electrical load.

200-amp standard
A 100-amp panel was plenty in 1975. Central A/C, an EV charger, a dryer, and a hot tub are not a 1975 electrical load.
We upgrade to 200-amp service, pull out the Federal Pacific and Zinsco panels insurers won’t cover, and publish the prices.
Call (830) 587-5790Seguin has a lot of housing built in the 1950s through 1970s. A meaningful portion of it still runs on the original 100-amp panel. That was fine for the electrical load of the era. It is not fine for a home running central AC, an EV charger, a home office, and a hot tub.
Many of those homes are also on panels made by Federal Pacific or Zinsco — both documented to fail to trip under overload. "It works fine" is not a panel safety assessment. Insurance carriers are increasingly refusing to renew coverage on homes with FPE panels. Justin finds one or two a year in Seguin. He explains what it is, gives a flat-rate replacement quote, and doesn't push. Most people replace it.
Full panel replacement and installation using Eaton, Square D, or Siemens panels — the three brands we stand behind. We pull the permit, coordinate the inspection, and bring everything to current NEC code before we leave.
Single breaker replacements to full breaker box swap-outs. Federal Pacific Stab-Lok and Zinsco panel removal. Arc-fault and GFCI breaker installations where required. Tandem and multi-wire circuit work handled correctly — not hacked together.
The modern standard for Seguin homes. Includes meter base and service entrance work, coordination with Guadalupe Valley Electric, ground rod and bonding upgrades, panel labeling, and circuit documentation. Full permit included.
Panel-level Type 2 SPDs protect your HVAC, appliances, and electronics from the power spikes and lightning that hit Guadalupe County regularly. Compatible with all panel brands. Discounted when added during a panel upgrade.
200-amp panel plus a dedicated 50A circuit for your EV charger — NEMA 14-50 outlet or hardwired. Panel capacity assessment included. Works with all EV brands and is future-ready for solar battery storage.
Full safety assessment with written inspection report — useful for insurance requirements, real estate transactions, and pre-purchase inspections. Load calculation and capacity review included. No-obligation upgrade recommendations.

“Moorhead came out same day when our AC quit in July. Fair price, zero upselling — the tech was super professional. These guys are the real deal.”
“Used Moorhead for a full electrical panel upgrade. Upfront about pricing, did the work cleanly, passed inspection first try. Will absolutely use them again.”
